Valencia and Sevilla took a point apiece after a one – one draw


Valencia saw two points slip away at home against Sevilla.

Valencia and Sevilla played out a one – one draw at Mestalla on Saturday. Valencia went into the game following a loss in their last match while the visitors had drawn theirs. After this result, Valencia are fifteenth, while Sevilla are second.

During the first half no team managed to score a goal and it ended with a 0-0 score.

In the second half, Sevilla broke the deadlock thanks to a a goal by Sarabia in minute 55.The locals leveled the game in minute 92 with a goal by Diakhaby and earned a 1-1 draw.

For Valencia, Cheryshev, Diakhaby and Batshuayi came on to replace Guedes, Gabriel Paulista and Santi Mina, while Sevilla substituted Vázquez and Ben Yedder with Amadou and Muriel.

The referee booked Vázquez, Promes, Mercado and André Silva from Sevilla and didn’t book a single player from the home team.

After this draw, Sevilla are second with 28 points. Valencia are in fifteenth position with 18 points.

On the following day, the team coached by Marcelino García Toral is taking on Eibar while Sevilla will face Girona.
