The game between Alavés and Sevilla ended one – one


Alavés lost two points in front of their home crowd against Sevilla.

Alavés and Sevilla played out a one – one draw at Mendizorroza on Sunday. The home side went into the game following a loss in their previous game, while the visiting team had picked up 10 points from a possible 15. With this result, Alavés are fourth while Sevilla are second.

The local team took the lead thanks to a goal by Jony in minute 37 and the first half ended 1 to 0.

After the interval, Sevilla leveled in minute 78 with a goal through Ben Yedder and the final score was 1-1.

Both coaches used their full set of substitutions. For the home team Brasanac, Rubén Sobrino and Guidetti came on for Wakaso, Ibai Gómez and Calleri, while Sevilla brought on Amadou, Promes and Sarabia to replace Roque Mesa, Mercado and Kjaer.

The referee for this match showed six yellow cards, Manu García, Pina and Guidetti for Alavés and Roque Mesa, Sarabia and Vázquez for Sevilla.

After this draw, Sevilla are second with 27 points. For its part, with this point Alavés climbs to the fourth position with 24 points.

The next day, both teams will play in away. Alavés team do so against Atlético de Madrid, while Sevilla will face Valencia.
