Real Betis 1-0 Sevilla


Betis landed all three points in their game against Sevilla.

Betis earned a 1-0 victory for home fans in last Sunday ‘s game at Benito Villamarín. Both teams came from a draw in their previous matches. Despite the result, the home team stays last while Sevilla remains leader.

During the first half no team managed to score a goal and it ended with a 0-0 score.

After the interval, Betis opened the scoring with a a goal by Joaquín in minute 80 and went on to claim a 1 – 0 victory.

Both teams used all three substitutes. For Betis, Sanabria, Joaquín and Sidnei were used in place of Loren Morón, Carvalho and Bartra, while Sevilla brought on Gonalons, Aleix Vidal and Promes to replace Vázquez, Guilherme Arana and Kjaer.

The referee used ten cards in all. For Betis the referee booked Carvalho, Canales and Joaquín. For Sevilla the referee booked Mercado, André Silva, Roque Mesa (2), Kjaer and Sarabia and sent off Roque Mesa.

After this positive result, Betis are now joint thirteenth in the table with Sevilla with 4 points.

On the next match, Real Betis will play against Valencia in away and Sevilla will challenge Getafe in home.
